Curriculum
The Educational System offered at “Summit
International Learning Centre” is based on the
tried and tested academic guidelines of the
British system, permitting a truly international
education, geared towards achieving academic
excellence.
The comprehensive, dynamic curriculum is
relevant to the local and international
community and the global environment. At all
levels, we stress skills of independence and
autonomy encouraging the child to develop
behavior controls, pride in accomplishments and
enjoyment of learning. The method of teaching is
child-centre and children learn through
structured lessons and lots of hands- on
activities.
Phonic is taught discretely and daily at a brisk
pace, providing opportunities to reinforce and
apply acquired phonic knowledge and skills. In
doing so, students’ progress in developing and
applying their phonic knowledge is carefully
assessed.
When all aspects of education are methodical and
structured, ordinary students can attain
extraordinary results.
Extra curricula Activities
We do belief that “Old is Gold” so are our
traditions and culture. We feel that we solely
hold the responsibility to maintain and train
our generations to respect and preserve our
traditions and culture. We have great reverence
for cultures around the world and yet we prefer
to remain within what we have reserved only.
Under the topic, Thematic Teaching, students are
exposed to the world around us: the nature to
appreciate, the greens to preserve, the manners
to practice, the behavior of good citizens,
respect for parents, teachers, friends and
people around them and so on. In addition to
our graded subjects of international standard
curriculum, we do teach Myanmar and Maths with
the medium of instruction in Myanmar for the
benefit of our Myanmar nationalities. Any
foreign student is also welcome if desired.
We, as well, strive for our students to become
well rounded students, we have piano and violin
classes instructed by well recognized
instructors.
